What are the UK Sustainability Reporting Standards?
The UK Sustainability Reporting Standards (SRS) are a new set of mandatory reporting requirements that will apply to large UK companies from 2026. These standards require companies to disclose material sustainability information, including greenhouse gas emissions, climate-related risks, and sustainability impacts.
The SRS are based on the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) standards, which have been endorsed by the UK government.

Who do the UK SRS apply to?
The final criteria for businesses who will be required to meet UK SRS is yet to be announced. However it will apply to listed and large UK companies, such as those with:
- UK companies with over 500 employees
- UK companies with turnover over £500 million
- UK companies with balance sheet total over £500 million
