The Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS) is a mandatory energy assessment scheme for large organisations in the UK. It requires qualifying organisations to carry out comprehensive energy audits every four years to identify cost-effective energy saving opportunities.

Who do ESOS requirements apply to?
ESOS applies to large UK organisations that meet one or more of the following criteria:
- Organisations with over 250 employees, or
- Organisations with turnover over £44 million, AND an annual balance sheet total over £38 million
- Applies to large UK undertakings and their corporate groups
