MK Carbon Ready participant terms and conditions

This programme is delivered by TrackZero and funded by Milton Keynes City Council’s Green Business Fund. There is no cost to eligible participants. By registering, you agree to these terms. Your use of the TrackZero platform is also subject to TrackZero’s standard Terms of Service.

ABOUT THE PROGRAMME

1. MK Carbon Ready gives Milton Keynes SMEs free access to carbon measurement and sustainability software for 12 months. The programme runs from September 2026 to September 2027. Licences are available on a first-come, first-served basis during that window, and each licence runs for 12 months from your activation date. The programme is funded by the Milton Keynes City Council Green Business Fund and delivered by TrackZero (company number 15201624), registered at Unity Place, 200 Grafton Gate, Milton Keynes, MK9 1UP.
2. Two tiers of access are available:
   1. TrackZero Lite (up to 1,000 licences) — Self-serve access to TrackZero Lite, TrackZero’s entry-level carbon measurement tier, covering scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions measurement. No consultant support is included. Available to all eligible MK businesses on a first-come, first-served basis.
   2. TrackZero Sustainability Suite (first 50 licences) — Self-serve access to the TrackZero Sustainability Suite with a licence for the ‘Grow’ tier, covering scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions measurement and carbon reduction planning for up to three sites. Includes the outputs needed to meet PPN 006 and NHS Roadmap requirements (if applicable). No consultant support is included. Available to the first 50 eligible businesses to register.

ELIGIBILITY

1. To claim a funded licence, your business must:
   1. Be registered and primarily operating in Milton Keynes
   2. Be privately or independently operated (public bodies and wholly publicly funded organisations are not eligible)
   3. Not have already claimed a licence under this programme
2. TrackZero reserves the right to verify eligibility and to withdraw a licence if a business is found not to meet these criteria.

WHAT’S INCLUDED

1. Your funded licence covers:
   1. 12 months of platform access from the date your licence is activated
   2. Self-serve use of TrackZero’s carbon measurement tools
   3. Access to TrackZero’s standard help documentation and support articles
   4. Invitations to the 12 monthly online sessions open to all MK businesses
   5. For a Sustainability Suite licence, all features of the Grow tier, subject to the restrictions of that tier, as listed on TrackZero’s pricing page
2. Your funded licence does not include:
   1. One-to-one advice, consultancy, or expert review of your data
   2. Guaranteed outcomes or compliance certification
   3. Any services beyond those described above
3. The platform is designed for self-serve use. You do not need prior sustainability knowledge or a consultant to use it. If you need additional support, TrackZero can connect you with qualified sustainability consultants in its partner network, at your own cost.
4. A funded Sustainability Suite licence is provided at the Grow tier. If you require a higher Sustainability Suite tier, or any additional services or add-ons, you may upgrade during the licence period. You will be responsible for covering the difference between the funded Grow licence and the higher tier, and the cost of any additional services or add-ons, at your own cost, at TrackZero’s standard rates.

DURATION AND RENEWAL

1. Licences are valid for 12 months from activation. At the end of your licence period, free access will expire. Participant data will be retained and deleted in accordance with TrackZero’s Privacy Policy and standard retention practices.
2. If you want to continue using TrackZero after your licence expires, you can subscribe at TrackZero’s standard rates. There is no obligation to do so.

ACCEPTABLE USE

1. Your licence is for use by your business only. You may not:
   1. Transfer, resell, or share your licence with another organisation
   2. Use the platform to provide services to third parties as part of a commercial offering
   3. Misrepresent your eligibility to obtain a licence
2. TrackZero may suspend or withdraw your licence if you breach these terms.

DATA AND PRIVACY

1. TrackZero will process your business data in accordance with its Privacy Policy. Your data will be used to deliver the programme and, in anonymised or aggregated form, to report outcomes to Milton Keynes City Council as required under the grant funding agreement.
2. By participating, you agree to provide reasonable information requested by TrackZero for programme monitoring, evaluation, and reporting purposes, including participation and outcome data required by Milton Keynes City Council. Where possible, information shared externally will be anonymised or aggregated.
3. TrackZero will not sell your data or share it with third parties for marketing purposes without your consent.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

1. The platform is provided as a tool to help you measure and report carbon emissions. TrackZero does not guarantee that use of the platform will result in contract wins, tender success, or regulatory compliance. You are responsible for ensuring the information and data you enter is accurate, complete, and up to date, and that your outputs meet any specific requirements set by your customers, supply chain, or regulators. TrackZero is not responsible for outputs, calculations, or reports affected by inaccurate or incomplete information you provide.
2. The programme and platform are provided on an “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, TrackZero excludes all warranties, representations, and guarantees, whether express or implied, regarding the availability, accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose of the platform or any outputs generated through it.
3. TrackZero’s liability to you under this programme is limited to the value of the funded licence (nil, as the programme is free to participants).

CHANGES AND CANCELLATION

1. TrackZero reserves the right to modify or withdraw the programme if required by Milton Keynes City Council or if circumstances outside its control make delivery impossible. In that event, TrackZero will give participants as much notice as reasonably practicable.
2. You can cancel your participation at any time by contacting TrackZero.
3. TrackZero may terminate your participation and withdraw your licence immediately where:
   1. You no longer meet the eligibility requirements in section 2
   2. You have provided false, inaccurate, or misleading information in connection with your application or participation
   3. You breach these terms or the TrackZero platform terms
   4. Continued participation would jeopardise the delivery, funding, or administration of the programme
4. TrackZero will not be liable for any failure or delay in delivering the programme caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

GOVERNING LAW

1. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
